Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. (President and CEO Shigetaka Komori) is delighted to announce that its FinePix S3 Pro has been selected for the prestigious Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) European Photo & Imaging Award for Midrange Digital SLR of the Year 2005.
Developed using Fujifilm' s exclusive technology, the FinePix S3 Pro incorporates the state-of-the-art Super CCD SR II to achieve 12.34 million effective pixels (6.17 million S-pixels and 6.17 million R-pixels). Maximum image range is an ultra-high resolution of 4256 x 2848 pixels (12.1 million recording pixels) resulting in remarkable improvements in image quality. This expanded dynamic range dramatically broadens tonal capability and guarantees exceptional reproduction of natural colors from bright highlights to deep shadows. It is also recognized by TIPA that its handy and user-friendly design is well accepted by professional photographers as the optimum camera of choice for studio, outdoor and still life photography.
The FinePix S3 Pro also comes fully equipped with Fujifilm' s Film Simulation Mode, developed with the know-how and expertise Fujifilm has built up over many years in the imaging industry. Simply by selecting the Studio Portrait Mode for images akin to the quality of negative film, or Fujichrome Mode which superbly emulates reversal film, the FinePix S3 Pro offers users a wide range of photo opportunities as if taking pictures with conventional film. In addition, with its Newly-developed Image Processing System, the FinePix S3 Pro is the optimum digital SLR camera which responds to the highest demands of professional photographers and produces high quality images every time.
