FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) is very proud to announce that the FUJIFILM X100S, X20, XQ1 and X-M1 premium X series cameras, and the instax mini 90 NEO CLASSIC instant camera have each won one of the world's most prestigious design awards; the iF product design awards.
Since its launch in March 2011, Fujifilm has rapidly grown its X series which successfully combines traditional styling with the highest image quality and mobility. Almost all FUJIFILM X series cameras have won an iF product design award, confirming that the design philosophy of X Series is highly regarded.
The “instax mini” instant camera series, which offer credit-card sized prints in seconds, have been gathering a lot of fans around the world, particularly amongst young people in their twenties and thirties who see it as a very fashionable little camera. It’s great fun to use and perfect for sharing with friends. The award-winning instax mini 90 NEO CLASSIC adopts a new design which has a more stylish and high-class feeling. This design award encourages us to promote instax culture globally even further.
Organised by iF Industrie Forum Design e.V in Hannover, the “iF product design award” is amongst the world's most prestigious design awards along side "red dot design award" in Germany and the "Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA)" of the USA. Some 50 experts from all over the world will come together to select the winners in the iF design awards 2014 and each entry is assessed on the basis of ten clear criteria such as design quality, degree of innovation and brand value. The 2014 iF product design awards had 3.249 entries in total.
