Notification regarding firmware release - FUJIFILM X-T1 (Ver.4.20)

December 22, 2015
Updated:January 15, 2016

The FUJIFILM X-T1 has received excellent reviews from a wide range of users since launch. The excellent build, retro design, intuitive controls and outstanding image quality combine to form a package which has delighted professional and enthusiast photographers across the world.

Unfortunately we have discovered that the latest firmware (Ver.4.20) launched on 17 Dec 2015 has an issue which in rare cases, when focus is set to AF-C mode, may result in the camera freezing.

As a temporary solution for customers who have upgraded their cameras to firmware ver.4.20, we have prepared a new firmware version of 4.21 whose functions are same as the previous version of 4.10. Please update your cameras to ver.4.21 to avoid the malfunction.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact your local Fujifilm support centre.

We apologize to any of our loyal customers that may be affected by this inconvenience. We will release an improved firmware for X-T1 which will address this issue on 4 February 2016.

Please rest assured of Fujifilm’s absolute commitment to quality and service excellence.
