What printing technology is used?

"Dye sublimation Thermal transfer (with overcoat)"
This technology offers high quality photos and allows for production of small footprint printers.

What kind of file formats are accepted?

JPEG. TIFF are accepted from card-slot media in the QS-70 model.
Progressive JPEG and compressed TIFF are NOT accepted.

Image sizes?

128 X 96 to 6400 X 6400 pixels.

Print resolution?

300 dpi.

Print gradation?

256 gradations.

Print speed?

Approx. 70 seconds per 4" x 6".

How do the printers enhance faces for perfect portraits?

These FinePix Printers utilize "Image Intelligence" technology. This automatically detects faces in the image data and optimizes exposure for more beautiful prints of the people in your photos.

Can the printers work with mobile phones?

Yes, if the customer's mobile phone has Infrared interface.

Do the printers work with digital cameras from other manufacturers?

Yes. You can print by Pictbrige or memory cards.

What media does the QS-70 accept?

XD, SD (SDHC), MS, CF and MMC. (miniSD, microSD, and MS Duo need an adapter).

Can the printer receive images from Bluetooth?

It's compatible with OPP profile-supported Bluretooth USB adapter (non Fujifilm product, sold separately).

Can the printer receive images from Wi-Fi?

No. It does not support Wi-Fi images.

Are they PC compatible?

Yes.The FinePix Printer has a USB port and the printer driver is included. When printing from a PC, "Image Intelligence" doesn't work. Since many images printed from a PC have been edited, the native files are printed without modification by "Image Intelligence".

What Operating Systems do these FinePix Printers support?

Windows Vista, XP, 2000, and MAC 10.3, 10.4. (MAC 10.5 isn't supported.)

Is the "Ink Cartridge & Paper Set" compatible with other manufacturers' printers?

No. The "Ink Cartridge & Paper Set" is unique to the FinePix Printer QS-7 and QS-70 models.

Does the "Ink Cartridge & Paper Set" have an expiration date?

No. Please avoid environments with high temperature, high humidity or dust for best results.
