In full-body shots of a standing person, the background is distorted.
Causes and solutions
Causes
This is an effect that occurs when you are trying to take a full-body shot of a subject and both you and the subject are standing, but you are standing at a higher or lower level, so that you have to tilt the camera downwards or upwards slightly.
In this situation, if there are any regular structures, such as buildings, in the background of the shot, the spaces between the structures will appear wider at the top and narrower at the bottom when you take a shoot from a higher angle, or narrower at the top and wider at the bottom when you take a shoot from a lower angle.
This is precisely the same effect as when you take a picture looking upwards from the foot of a tall building and the upper floors of the building appear to narrow due to the difference in the distance from the lens to the upper and lower floors (tilt).
Solutions
Hold the camera so that it is horizontal relative to the subject and take the shot with the camera pointed at the mid-point of the subject.
