Versatile Shooting Modes

In addition to a wide range of shooting modes, the FinePix S2000HD offers a selection of versatile scene positions that ensure optimum results no matter what the scene.

Mode Dial

Auto

This is the easiest mode for taking pictures. Use this mode for ordinary photography.

Picture Stabilization

Used for selecting a fast shutter speed that reduces camera shake and moving-subject blurring.

Natural Light

This mode produces beautiful images that retain the natural ambience when shots are taken in low-light conditions.

Natural Light & with Flash

This mode shoots 2 images continuously without flash and with flash. Shooting with flash allows you to take a picture of a main subject brightly. This mode is useful for shooting 2 different types of pictures at the same time.

Zoom Bracketing

This mode records three consecutive images with zoom ratio setting of 1x, 1.4x and 2x at a single release of the shutter.

Scene Position

Use to select the ideal setting from Scene position menu for the shot.

Movie

Use this mode to record movies with sound.

Custom

This mode is a shooting mode with user settings.

Manual

This mode provides more detailed settings that are impossible to set in Auto mode.

Shutter Priority Auto

This is an automatic mode to set the shutter speed.

Program Auto

This is an automatic mode to specify the settings except for the shutter speed and aperture setting.

A Host of Scene Position

Select the Scene Position to match the situation and the camera does the rest.

Portrait

Set for shooting portraits. Skin tones are softened as it enhance the overall natural look.

Landscape

Best for shooting scenery in daylight capturing clear and sharp shots of buildings and mountains effectively.

Sport

A quick recognition of persons in motion or objects for a faster shutter speed to help you catch the perfect moment.

Night

Most effective for evening and night shots. Picture is taken with a slow shutter speed of up to 4 seconds.

Fireworks

Effective for taking shots of fireworks with a slow shutter speed.

Sunset

Capture sunset scenes vivid in color.

Snow

Most adaptable to snow scenes without unnatural darkened images or where the whole screen appears white.

Beach

Clear shots of people without darkened images under strong sunlight.

Museum

Flash is suppressed, all operation sound, and AF-assist Illuminator/self-timer lamp is off.

Party

Best for shooting indoor weddings or parties. Retains the natural ambience in low-light conditions.

Flower

Capture a clear close-up shots of blooming flowers rich in color.

Text

Clear shots of letters on a document or white board.

Auction

Combines multiple photos into a single image ready for easy uploading to auction sites.

SD/SDHC Memory Card Compatible Slots
