Super Intelligent Flash

A flash control technology that lets you take flash-assisted macro shots with the ideal balance of flash output and sensitivity. Integrated in the Auto mode, this next-generation flash system captures both the subject and background in bright, clear details over the full flash range including ultra close-ups.

2.7-inch High-Contrast & Wide Viewing Angle LCD

The 2.7-inch, 230,000-dot LCD monitor assures a sharp, brilliant view. The wide viewing angle of up to 160°, both vertically and horizontally, keeps the image visible when holding the camera at various angles, and is equally convenient for playing back images and viewing menus.

Easy Viewing EVF (Electronic Viewfinder)

The newly developed electronic viewfinder is designed to offer the same kind of viewing experience as an optical finder. It's LCD system shows dramatically improved responsiveness and color accuracy, thanks to a field sequential motion system, allowing it to be used to check color balance and focus. The 0.2-inch, approximately 200,000-dot back-panel LCD monitor offers an improved view as well, with a finer, less-pixelated image.

Dust-free Lens with Body Integration

Lens and body are structurally integrated, preventing the entry of dust and debris. That means the sensor and other internal components remain clean and maintenance-free.

CCD-RAW (EXR) + JPEG File Formats for Post-Processing

For the ultimate in image quality, CCD-RAW (EXR) capture mode, producing files that can be developed and post-processed on your PC *1. You can also choose to have the camera simultaneously record CCD-RAW (EXR) and JPEG files.

  • *1 CCD RAW files captured by S200EXR / S205EXR cannot be converted with FinePix Viewer included in the CD ROM. Updater of FinePix Viewer for conversion of CCD RAW files will be available from Nov. 2009.

In addition to a wide range of shooting modes, the FinePix S200EXR / S205EXR offers a selection of versatile scene positions that ensure optimum results regardless of the scene.

Mode Dial

EXR MODE

Improve clarity, reduce noise, increase dynamic range, or let the camera automatically adjust settings to suit the scene.

FSB (Film Simulation Bracketing)

Shoots and records 3 images in film simulated modes: PROVIA, Velvia, and ASTIA.

Scene Position

Choose a SP scene suited for the subject or shooting condition and the camera will do the rest.

Movie

Use this mode to record movies with sound.

C1 / C2

Allows presets to shooting mode with user's preference.

Manual

Provides detailed settings that are impossible to set in Auto mode.

Aperture Priority Auto

An automatic mode to set the aperture.

Shutter Priority Auto

An automatic mode to set the shutter speed.

Program Auto

An automatic mode to specify the settings except for the shutter speed and aperture setting.

Auto

The easiest mode for taking pictures. Use this mode for ordinary photography.

Scene Position

Pro Focus Mode

Choose for blurring the background of a subject such as portrait or a flower to make it impressive.

Pro Low-light Mode

Choose for shooting a subject under low light or a still subject by using the telephoto zoom.

Natural Light

Produces beautiful images that retain the natural ambience when shots are taken in low-light conditions.

Natural Light & with Flash

Shoots 2 images continuously, without flash and with flash. Comes in great handy during marginal shooting situations.

Portrait

Mode for photography to reproduce natural skin tones.

Portrait Enhancer

Enables automatic enhancements of skin tone.

Landscape

Best for shooting scenery in daylight capturing clear and sharp shots of buildings and mountains effectively.

Sport

A quick recognition of persons in motion or objects for a faster shutter speed to help you catch the perfect moment.

Night

Mode for shooting evening and night scenes. A picture is taken with a slow shutter.

Night (Tripod)

Fireworks
