FUJIFILM announces new CTP media for the Newspaper Market

Responding to the growing worldwide popularity of CTP systems in the Newspaper market, Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. announces the introduction of two new additions to the Brillia CTP range:

  • Thermal Plate Brillia LH-NN
  • Violet Photopolymer Plate Brillia LP-NNV

FUJIFILM has been developing both thermal and photopolymer technologies for the commercial printing market for many years, and has already earned a worldwide reputation for the quality, consistency, and reliability of its plate products.

FUJIFILM now announces two new plate products designed specifically for the Newspaper market segment, allowing customer needs to be met with regard to both performance and flexibility.

Both plates will be commercially available in the 4th quarter 2004.

FUJIFILM’s exhibition space at drupa 2004 will be divided into several different zones,each targeting a particular segment of the printing industry.

FUJIFILM will be showcasing a wide range of new innovative products at drupa 2004.The booth will be running live demonstrations, presentations and videos geared towards today’s print professionals.

Thermal Plate Brillia LH-NN

Features:

  • No pre-heat negative thermal plate
  • Stable performance under even the most difficult environmental conditions such as fluctuations in room temperature and humidity
  • High sensitivity
  • Daylight handling
  • Good ink and water balance
  • Easy cleaning in developing section of processor

Specifications:

  • Type: Negative working
  • Light source: 830nm infrared laser (800 - 850nm)
  • Sensitivity: 100mJ ⁄ ㎠
  • Resolution: 1 - 99% (on plate) at 100lpi
  • Run length: 200,000 impressions (unbaked)

    Finishing Gum: FN-6

Violet Photopolymer Plate Brillia LP-NNV

Features:

  • High sensitivity for Violet laser CTP systems
  • Wide latitude of pre-heat temperature and developer pH
  • High run length and resistance to scumming
  • Excellent processing adaptability
  • Easy cleaning in developing section of processor

Specifications:

  • Type: Negative working
  • Light source: Violet laser (405 - 410nm)
  • Sensitivity: 0.05 - 0.08mJ ⁄ ㎠
  • Resolution: 2 - 98% (on plate) at 100lpi
  • Run length: 300,000 impressions plus (unbaked)
    *Run length is always dependent on laser power, processing and press conditions.
  • Chemistry: Developer: LP-DS
    Replenisher: LP-DRN
