History
FUJI DRI-CHEM system based on multilayered film method was first announced in 1980.
It was the dry chemistry slide and the analyzer for measuring glucose concentration by spotting 6 microliter of whole blood sample. The slide has a special spreading layer made of cloth which enables the use of whole blood as a sample.
Since then, various DRI-CHEM slides and analyzers were developed to fulfill the increasing needs of emergency testing. On the other hand, the peripheral items were also developed. For instance,special pipette tips were introduced to enable automatic spotting. They are now called FUJI CLEAN TIPS. Because the tips don’t have to be wiped by a tissue paper and the like, there is little danger that the operators are contaminated with the blood sample.
Now the FDC series are introduced and widely used in the international markets as automatic clinical chemistry systems.
FUJI DRI-CHEM system is used not only in the clinical laboratories but also in the veterinary clinics.

Automates the time-consuming dilution procedure
Automates various time-consuming dilution procedures done by hand such as pipetting and mixing.
Dilutes automatically to a preset dilution ratio just by setting the dilution cup and dilution solution.

The basic procedure consists of 3 steps
Completely automated, from pushing the START key to the printout of the data.
There is no need to specify the tests beforehand since two lots of dots on the back of the slide can be read automatically to obtain accurate results.

How to use FUJI DRI-CHEM system
The system is very easy to use. It is used not only by professional clinical chemistry operators but also by doctors and nurses.

1. Pass the QC card to the QC card reader when you use slides of the new lot number.
2. Set slides on FUJI DRI-CHEM analyzer.
3. Set a sample tube and an Auto TIP in the specified sample rack.
4. Input a sequence No. and a sample ID if necessary.
5. Press the "START" key to initiate testing.
6. The results are printed out to the printer.

QC card system
QC card system
Calibration of each lot can be performed easily by reading the QC card. QC information is memorized for up to two lots. Slide lot differentiation is conducted automatically.
