FUJI DRI-CHEM system based on multilayered film method was first announced in 1980.
It was the dry chemistry slide and the analyzer for measuring glucose concentration by spotting 6 microliter of whole blood sample. The slide has a special spreading layer made of cloth which enables the use of whole blood as a sample.
Since then, various DRI-CHEM slides and analyzers were developed to fulfill the increasing needs of emergency testing. On the other hand, the peripheral items were also developed. For instance, special pipette tips were introduced to enable automatic spotting. They are now called FUJI CLEAN TIPS. Because the tips don’t have to be wiped by a tissue paper and the like, there is little danger that the operators are contaminated with the blood sample.
Now the FDC series are introduced and widely used in the international markets as automatic clinical chemistry systems.
FUJI DRI-CHEM system is used not only in the clinical laboratories but also in the veterinary clinics. |
