Multi Gauge

New Multi Gauge software simplifies accurate multi-color 1D electrophoretic analysis.

Multi Gauge is an optional software application for 1-dimensional electrophoretic analysis of multi-labeled fluorophores. Designed specifically to analyze multi-channel fluorescence data from Fujifilm's FLA-5100 and FLA-8000 scanning systems, the software also works with other scanners in the BAS/FLA series and with the LAS series.

  1. 1. Image analysis of multiple images.
  2. 2. Standard image analysis software for Science Lab software from Fujifilm.
  3. 3. Clear and easy to handle navigation function.
  4. 4. Images obtained from BAS, FLA and LAS systems can be handled as well as TIFF files.
  5. 5. Up to 3 images can be overlapped whether by B/W or pseudo color.

Function list

  1. 1. Density measurement (various tools: rectangle, oval, polygon, freehand, rectangle, ladder, magic wands, free edit)
  2. 2. Profile analysis(auto-lane search, auto-peak search, density profile graph and density measurement, molecular weight measurement)
  3. 3. Length measurement, angle measurement
  4. 4. Compose of two images in B/W or pseudo color
  5. 5. ypes of file to be opened (Fuji file format(.img, .inf), TIFF)
  6. 6. Types of file to be saved (Fuji file format, TIFF (original, window image), BMP)
  7. 7. Rotate and flip of the images opened
  8. 8. Contrast adjustment of the image
  9. 9. Pseudo color image handling
  10. 10. Annotation in the image
  11. 11. UPrint out of the image to Windows driver controlled printer
  12. 12. Print out of the image to Pictrography printer
[Capture] Easy Image Overlapping

Easy Image Overlapping

Images captured by the multi-channel mode can be pseudo-colored for differentiation and overlapped, or viewed in parallel, for detailed analysis.

In vivo Imaging

By one click, fluorescent image can be superimposed on a digitized image and can be displayed as one image. For example, a florescent image of tumor labeled with NIR dye and excited with near infrared LED can be superimposed on a digitized image of live mouse. Quantitation on the fluorescent tumor image can be easily done on this superimposed image, also.

Multi Image Function

[Capture] User-friendly Imaging
User-friendly Imaging
Multi Gauge includes an intuitive interface for user-friendly operation with Navigation Tool window and Function window.
[Capture] Cross-talk Correction
Cross-talk Correction
The bands of the same fragment caused by imaging at different laser wavelengths are referred to as cross-talk. Accurate quantitation can be achieved by eliminating cross-talk imaging with one click and by setting background intensity on every pseudo-colored channel.
[Capture] Lane Settings
Lane Settings
Multi Gauge provides full control over the number, size and shape of lanes. Straight pre-set lanes can even be curved for more accurate analysis.

Analysis and reporting functions

[Capture] Quantitation
Quantitation
After setting the lanes on an overlapped image, a profile line for each of the two channels is shown in the profile window. Individual lanes can be selected for analysis in addition to setting background levels and automatic band detection for improved quantitation of the profile.
[Capture] Molecular Weight Calculation & Results Tables
Molecular Weight Calculation & Results Tables
Standard values for molecular weight markers are pre-recorded and automatically set when selected. Data is then displayed for easy analysis in either an all value mode for all bands in all lanes or in a comparison mode for the same band in different channels or lanes.
