Troubleshooting (Error messages and responses)

FIRMWARE UPGRADE !NO CARD
Cause
There is no media in the camera.
Response
Load the media containing the firmware upgrade into the camera.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE !CARD NOT INITIALIZED
Cause
The camera cannot read the media because it is not formatted.
Response
Reformat the media and then copy the firmware upgrade onto the card again.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE !CARD ERROR
Cause
The camera cannot read the media.
Response
There may be a fault with the card or camera. Consult an authorized FUJIFILM service facility.
!NEW FIRMWARE NOT BE FOUND. TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
Cause
The media loaded in the camera does not contain the firmware upgrade.
Response
Copy the firmware upgrade onto the card and then reload it into the camera.
!NEW FIRMWARE IS BROKEN. TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
Cause
The camera cannot read the firmware upgrade file on the media.
Response
Download the firmware upgrade again, copy it onto the media again and then load the card into the camera.
!LATEST FIRMWARE ALREADY INSTALLED. TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
Cause
The firmware upgrade on the media is no newer than the firmware currently on the camera.
Response
The currently installed firmware is the latest version, so no firmware upgrade is required.
!THIS FIRMWARE IS NOT FOR THIS MODEL. TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
Cause
The firmware upgrade on the media is not for this camera.
Response
Download the correct firmware upgrade for your camera model, copy it onto the xD-Picture card and then load the card into the camera.
!AC ADAPTER IS NOT CONNECTED. TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
Cause
The AC adapter is not connected.
Response
Connect the AC adapter before upgrading the firmware.
!FIRMWARE UPGRADE HAS BEEN CANCELED. TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
Cause
Firmware upgrading was not completed successfully for some reason.
Response
Request repairs at an authorized FUJIFILM service facility.
