The firmware update Ver.3.00 from Ver.2.00 incorporates the following issues:

  • 1. Addition of “Focus Bracketing”
    The update will enable the photographer to shoot focus distance bracketing up to 999 frames. When the photographer start shooting, the focal location is shifted with each activation of the shutter by the step of focus shift set from 1 to 10.
  • 2. Addition of “35mm Format Mode”
    The update will enable the photographer to shoot central 36.0mm x 24.0mm (30.5M) cropped images as both JPEG and RAW files. When using 35mm format adapters(*), it will be easier to adjust the image size to 35mm format image circle lenses by changing the setting.
    * This function cannot be used with some of the mount adapters which have contacts for a camera body.
  • 3.“H MOUNT ADAPTER G” new firmware
    The firmware update will expand the compatibility for the “H MOUNT ADAPTER G” accessory.

  • 1. Support "FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO" for Mac
    Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the "FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO" enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro. The fast batch processing will also be available. The "FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO" can be downloaded from the FUJIFILM website for free.

    Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the "FUJIFILM X Acquire" allows users to backup/restore camera settings to/from a file. Copying all camera settings from one camera to another is available.

  • 4. Addition of "Eye Sensor + LCD Image Display" in the View Mode
    The update gives the "Eye Sensor + LCD Image Display" option in the View Mode that allows you to shoot through the viewfinder and check images on the LCD, just as you would with an SLR.
  • 5. ON/OFF for 1/3-step shutter speed adjustment
    The update allows you to turn off the Command Dial's function to adjust shutter speed by 1/3 steps in order to prevent unintended adjustments.
  • 6. Addition of "Shoot Without Card" mode
    With the update, you can have the "Shoot Without Card" mode turned OFF so that the camera will not shoot when there is no SD card inserted.
  • 7. Addition of "-6" and "-7" to EVF's brightness setting
    The update will extend the "EVF Brightness" setting options to "-6" and "-7" so that, even in an extremely low-light condition, the brightness of the EVF does not distract you from shooting.
  • 8. Support for " Instax SHARE SP-3"
    Additionally, "Instax SHERE SP-3" has become compatible with this camera.

The firmware update Ver.1.11 from Ver.1.10 incorporates the following issues:

  • 1. The phenomenon is fixed that in the MF mode, repeated halfway shutter pressing can shift the focus point under a specific exposure condition.
  • 2. The phenomenon is fixed that in the AF-S mode, repeated halfway shutter pressing can shift the focus point with SHUTTER AF setting OFF.

  • 2. Operability improvement of exposure compensation
    When EXPO. CMP. BUTTON SETTING in BUTTON/DIAL SETTING is ON/OFF SWITCH, the setting is held even after power off/on, mode change and removing/attaching a lens.
  • 3. AF speed becomes faster for a relatively dark object.
  • 4. Option for accessory is added in the function of firmware upgrade. This enables you to upgrade firmware for Shoe Mount Flash and so on.
  • 5. Compatibility with GF23mmF4 R LM WR is added.
  • 6. The phenomenon is fixed that communication can fail when a big capacity image is being transferred to a smartphone or a tablet from a memory card in the slot 2.
  • 7. The phenomenon is fixed that setting can change when the setting of EVF COLOR in SCREEN SETTING is changed.

The firmware update Ver.1.01 from Ver.1.00 incorporates the following issues:

  • 1. The phenomenon is fixed that in some cases the actual saturation of the EVF display is not changed even if the setting of the EVF COLOR in SCREEN SET-UP is changed. It occurs especially after EVF display is changed to LCD and then back to EVF.
