Global cancer care specialists Genesis Care have recently selected the AMULET Innovality mammography system from Fujifilm for a second UK site. The breast team at the Cambridge hospital perform both screening and symptomatic examinations, and the single system design of the AMULET Innovality will allow them to easily expand their service in the future to more specialised diagnostic techniques including CEDM and biopsy.
“We were excited to install the Fujifilm AMULET Innovality unit to support our new breast service” said Michelle West, Lead Diagnostic Radiographer at Genesis Care, Cambridge. “Since installation we have had excellent feedback from everyone on the new system - patients have commented on the comfort of the Fit Sweet paddle, our radiologists are impressed with the quality of the images for both standard 2D and tomosynthesis mammography, and the clinical staff find the unit easy to use. The ambient lighting helps to calm patients during their examination, and the staff enjoy changing the coloured lights around the control unit!”
“Covid-19 delayed our installation slightly, but the Fujifilm team kept us up to date with changes so we could manage the project effectively. Their team were fully engaged throughout the project from start to finish – engineers were professional and kept our local team informed, the applications went smoothly and the clinical team felt supported and knowledgeable after the training. Overall the whole Fujifilm team dealt with issues quickly and effectively – we would highly recommend both the AMULET Innovality and the Fujifilm team.”
