Fujifilm and World Press Photo Extend Strategic Partnership Through 2030

TOKYO, October 16, 2026 – FUJIFILM Corporation today announced the extension of its strategic partnership with World Press Photo through 2030. Through the renewed partnership, Fujifilm will continue to support photographers working in the field of photojournalism and documentary photography, while further expanding collaborative initiatives held in conjunction with World Press Photo exhibitions around the world.

World Press Photo is an independent nonprofit organization based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Since 1955, it has connected the world to important stories through trustworthy photojournalism and documentary photography. The organization hosts the annual World Press Photo Contest, which recognizes outstanding work by photojournalists and documentary photographers from around the world. Award-winning works are presented to global audiences through exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms.

Fujifilm and World Press Photo established their strategic partnership in 2024. Through this partnership, Fujifilm has continued to expand its support of the photographic community with initiatives including the World Press Photo Contest, the provision of Fujifilm camera equipment to award-winning photographers, and collaborative events held in conjunction with World Press Photo exhibitions worldwide.

Under the renewed partnership, Fujifilm and World Press Photo will further strengthen this collaboration at World Press Photo exhibitions held around the world. Fujifilm will organize workshops, speaking events, portfolio reviews, and other programs featuring World Press Photo award-winning photographers, providing participants with opportunities to learn directly from leading visual storytellers to help deepen their appreciation of the power and value of photography.

The collaboration events will be held in up to 20 cities each year where World Press Photo exhibitions are held.

As part of the partnership, Fujifilm will also continue to support the World Press Photo Contest. The World Press Photo of the Year winner and two finalists will each receive the latest large-format mirrorless digital camera equipment from Fujifilm’s GFX System. The GFX System is Fujifilm’s high-end mirrorless digital camera system, featuring a large-format sensor that delivers high resolution and rich tonal reproduction. It enables photographers to capture the texture, dimensionality, and atmosphere of their subjects in exceptional detail.

“We are excited to continue and further strengthen the strategic partnership we have established in 2024, a collaboration that has grown steadily based on mutual trust and shared values. Through this partnership, we are proud to contribute to the growth of trustworthy storytelling and global communication through the power of photography,” says Yuji Igarashi, General Manager of the Imaging Solutions Division, FUJIFILM Corporation. “Together with World Press Photo, we support the creative individuals who play a vital role in the dynamic field of photography.”

“Building on the strong foundation we have established since 2024, extending our partnership with Fujifilm until 2030 opens up long-term possibilities for our organization and the photographers we support,” says Joumana El Zein Khoury, Executive Director of World Press Photo. “Their continued commitment allows us to expand our global reach, enrich our local exhibition programs, and ensure photojournalists and documentary photographers around the world have the support and platform necessary to bring vital, reliable stories to light.”
