FDR ES II - Overview

Simple yet intelligent core

The content on this page is intended to healthcare professionals and equivalents.

Fujifilm’s exclusive technologies achieving high resolution with lower dose
ISS system reading technology promotes high sensitivity

Equipped with Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS) method, signal detection and transmission within the detector are improved by mounting the TFT on the incident side of the detector. This provides a shorter distance for the signal to travel from the scintillator to the TFT array creating a sharper image with lower dose of X-rays.

Conventional method

ISS system reading technology

Fujifilm’s ISS technology provides high resolution images with low dose

Fujifilm's ISS method incorporates a noise reduction circuit that reduces image noise and graininess in low-density areas.

AED Technology

Automatic Exposure Detection(AED) technology allows automatic X-ray detection removing the requirement for connection between the X-ray generator and DR power supply unit to automatically detect X-rays and start image creation.

Smart Function - Pursuing ease of use
Power saving switch

Power saving switch is equipped on the side of panel and allows to change to low power mode by pressing. It conserves battery power when the panel is not in use.

LED Battery status display

The detector is equipped with a side mounted LED bar that displays remaining battery status. This allows a simple visual check of remaining battery, reducing anxiety when using the detector.

Example of Battery Status display
LED Display for visual assistance

The left side of the detector is equipped with LED lights, which provide status information on Power, Device operation and connectivity.

LED display

①Device status
When the device is ready for X-ray exposure, the LED lights up in green.

②Power status
When the device is on, the LED lights up in blue.

③Issue detector
When there is an issue, it lights up in orange

④Connectivity with Image processing unit
It lights up in white when the device is connected with Image processing unit.

Simple battery replacement workflow

The battery replacement workflow has been improved by simple battery latch structure. The battery can be replaced with one hand and ready to image in 30 seconds.

Virtual Grid
Provides a high quality image without using a grid

Virtual Grid processing corrects for the effects of scatter radiation. Without the need for a grid, Virtual Grid retains high contrast and image sharpness, while preventing the asymmetric density  resulting from misalignment of X-ray tube and detector. (Option)
