Internship Fundamental Research
FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. is one of the largest production facilities of Fujifilm outside Japan. About 700 employees are responsible for the production of photo paper, offset plates and membranes. In the Tilburg Research Laboratory we continuously work on innovation and development of existing and new products. Besides that a part of the European headquarters is located in Tilburg. This company is among others responsible for procurement, finance, IT and customs affairs.
Department and Section
You will be part of the Functional Materials section of the Highly Functional Materials Laboratory (HFML) based within the Tilburg Research Laboratory (TRL) of Fujifilm. The TRL is located at the production site of Fujifilm Manufacturing Europe B.V.
The Functional Materials section focusses on the development of novel materials in the area of Energy, Environment and Healthcare. Due to Covid-19 most of the practical work will have to take place at the University.
Description of the assignment
You will be working at the start of the development of a new material in the area of Energy and Environment. From the beginning you will need to design and work out your own experiment. You also need to learn your way around the synthesis of new polymeric materials and new analysis techniques to confirm the performance of the new materials.

During the internship period at Fujifilm Tilburg you get acquainted with several aspects of the working process. Of course you receive an internship allowance. Also we have flexible working hours and we arrange guidance.
