Material Planner Life Science Manufacturing

FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. has a position for a Material Planner in our Life Science Manufacturing department in Tilburg, The Netherlands.

Cell culture media are raw materials for the biopharmaceutical industry. In this industry animal or human cells are used for the production of medicines or vaccines. These cells are grown under very controlled conditions which is a prerequisite for a stable and reproducible product. The new European factory in Tilburg will produce a part of the product portfolio of American factory of Fujifilm Irvine Scientific (FISI) for European customers. For the production of these products the material- and production planning have to be managed in Tilburg communicating closely with FISI.

As material planner you are an important link between the suppliers and the CCM production plant. Based on a forecast, the materials are ordered from the suppliers. Your main task is to execute the material planning and stock control. It is crucial to ensure a steady flow of all the materials and consumables to assure the continuity of the production. Next to this you will also be the back-up for the CCM production planner. As you have to work with different disciplines and suppliers it is important to build and maintain a good relationship with them. Also you should be able to initiate and realize optimizations in the logistical- and administrative processes.

  • Completed MBO4 education in the field of logistics or supply chain management or completed MBO4 education with additional courses in the field of logistics or supply chain management;
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant work experience, mainly in a logistics organization;
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Excel, ERP systems and planning methods;
  • Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in both Dutch and English;
  • Fulltime available;
  • A Certificate of Conduct must be provided before taking up employment.

A colleague with drive and enthusiasm for logistic processes. You are proactive, able to set priorities, and have the ability to analyze and solve issues fast and creative. Furthermore you are capable to communicate with different stakeholders in both Dutch and English. As the production plant and organization are in development, flexibility and a hands on mentality are needed. You are able to work independently and in a team.

FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. is one of the largest production facilities outside of Japan. Here we are responsible for the production of photo paper, offset plates and membranes with about 700 employees. In addition, we are expanding with a new plant for the healthcare industry where we will produce cell culture media. In the Tilburg Research Laboratory we are continuously developing new technologies and products. Next to this a part of the European headquarters is located in Tilburg. This company is responsible for procurement, finance, IT, logistics and customs matters.

The Cell Culture Media section is a growing organization. It consists of a production group and production staff (production engineer and production planner).
