FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. opened a Life Science factory on the site in late 2021, built in the former photo film factory. Originally a photographic company, Fujifilm is increasingly expanding into other markets, including the biopharmaceutical industry. The Life Science factory has now been ISO 13485 certified since September 2022. This means LSM's quality system meets the requirements for medical device production.
President Albert van Maren explains: "As a company, we are in transition. The opening of the new plant was a great milestone in this process. I am proud that we were also able to transform our quality management system in such a short time. We produce in the right way and meet all requirements. This in turn opens up new opportunities."
