It provides insurance and financial services through its subsidiaries and affiliates throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It has been in existence for 166 years and serves around 25 million customers worldwide.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gap-element clearfix\" style=\"display:block; height:auto; padding-top:30px\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"col medium-7 small-12 large-7\"  ><div class=\"col-inner text-left\" style=\"padding:0px 5% 0px 0px;\" >\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">The Challenge<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As part of its day-to-day operations, the insurance company managed all of its document scanning and data capture operations in-house.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Following an internal review, it was identified that the in-house operation was not meeting turn around time expectations for completion of document scanning leading to:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Clumsy manual workflow<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Redundant storage<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Higher cost of scanning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other challenges the client was facing with the current in-house process included:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No real time operation performance monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Frequent equipment calibration required for different document types<\/li>\n<li>Physical document retrieval issues<\/li>\n<li>Physical documents scanned and image discrepancies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fujifilm DMS was chosen as the successful partner to transition the inefficient in-house process to an offsite, fully outsourced solution for both scanning &amp; first strategy was to move the operation out from the premium district and into a more cost effective location reducing the location cost from $125 to $12 per square foot.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fujifilm DMS also set up and implemented a secure content management system for all digital images of the scanned documents to be archived and able to be retrieved in a matter of seconds when required by the client staff.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gap-element clearfix show-for-small\" style=\"display:block;
