Engagement with Local Communities

In addition to providing excellent value to customers, FUJIFILM Business Innovation is attuned to our communities’ expectations and motivated by high ideals with mutual cooperation and enlightenment between the company and our employees, and is thus committed to supporting cultural development and helping create a better society from a long-term and wide-ranging perspective.
We have been actively conducting community engagement activities since 1970s based on the needs from the countries and regions. In fiscal 2012, based on the management discussion at the CSR CommitteeNote1, FUJIFILM Business Innovation decided to strengthen its activities in order to make a visible and characteristic contribution to society as a communications business company. Accordingly, based on our Mission Statement, in which we are committed to "Contribute to the advancement of the global community by continuously fostering mutual trust and enriching diverse cultures", we have identified the following two as our key community engagement themes: "Education for future generations" and "Conservation of diminishing cultures and information." In addition to conducting activities on these two themes, we will foster collaboration with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, NPOs and academic organizations to implement measures to resolve social issues based on the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake. We will contribute to solving social issues continuously through our business activities.

Since the 1990s we have built systems for supporting employee participation in society to promote our community engagement activities.

FUJIFILM Business Innovation and its affiliates continue to conduct a range of activities to identify and meet local needs. We introduce some of these activities in the following.
