History and direction of
FUJIFILM Business Innovation

Since our founding, we have continued to help people improve their work styles and productivity by supporting communications in corporate activities.

At the time of our foundation in 1962, when copying was not yet widespread, we caused a revolution in office work by dramatically improving the efficiency of information transmission and sharing using the xerography technology for copying information on paper.

In the 1970s, we pioneered the idea of work style reform in society. For example, we questioned the emphasis on hard work styles and advocated the revitalization of humanity in the post-war economic boom by promoting the catchphrase “From ‘moretsu’ to beautiful” (meaning “Quit vehemence and take beauty”).

We have introduced initiatives to change our own work styles ahead of other companies by always taking the perspective of workers. These initiatives include the enhancement of systems that increase flexibility in work time and place and reforms of business processes, awareness and climate. Thus, we have continued to improve the productivity of the entire organization.

In the Sustainable Value Plan 2030, the Fujifilm Group's CSR plan, we pledged to "Promote social change where every person is motivated in the workplace through extending our in-house work style reforms." Based on our employees' own business improvement experience, we provide solutions and services that lead to customers' work style reforms.

In 2021, we changed the name of the company to FUJIFILM Business Innovation. The new company name reflects our determination to remain an entity that always innovates in business. We will continue to help customers solve their issues and achieve business growth in various business settings as their business innovation partner.
