Announcement about the Apache Log4j vulnerabilities (CVE-2021-44228, 45046, 45105, 4104, and 44832) for our products

After thorough investigation, we would like to inform you of the impact of Apache Log4j vulnerabilities (CVE-2021-44228, 45046, 45105, 4104, and 44832) on our multifunction printers, single-function printers, production printers, and software products.

Multifunction printers, single-function printers, and production printers

Multifunction printers and single-function printers under the following brands as well as all production printers are not affected by the Apache Log4j vulnerabilities:

  • Apeos, ApeosPro, ApeosPort, DocuCentre, ApeosPort Print, ApeosPrint, DocuPrint, DocuWide, ApeosWide series
  • All production printers

Software products

We have identified five software products listed below that are affected by the vulnerabilities. Please be assured that all other software products are not affected.

Patches are available for the following software products (available only in Japan as of January 2022) in the support web page of each product.

  • Apeos PEMaster Evidence Tracker 2.4.8
  • Apeos PEMaster Manual Weaver 4.0.0/4.0.1
  • Apeos PEMaster PDCA Manager 2.3.500
  • ArcSuite 4.0 EvidenceTracker 4.0.0/4.0.1
  • DocuShare 7.5
