Notification about the bad application behavior when using FUJIFILM printer drivers on Windows 11 version 22H2 environment onwards

First of all, we would like to thank you for your patience and continuous support towards Fujifilm products.
For the issue, we would like the customers to confirm the details below.
About the issue
When you print jobs using FUJIFILM printer drivers or fax drivers via applications on the environment of Windows 11 version 22H2, if you happened to open printer preferences window on FUJIFILM drivers, the application may freeze. Once the application freezes, an application restart is needed to perform the printing again.
OS generating the issue
Windows 11 22H2 and later
Supplement：The issue does not occur on the version earlier than Windows 11 version 22H1 or below, and Windows 10.
Applications generating the issue
Many applications with printing capabilities operating on this version of Windows 11 may freeze while setting the printer properties. The methods for the setting differs for each application.
Example below shows the scenario when the issue occurs on Microsoft Word.
Case of using printing preferences of Windows 11：The issue does not occur
- Go to [Start]-[Bluetooth & devices]-[Printers & scanners] and then select a printer
- Select [Printing preferences] of the printer, open the Printing Preferences window and then configure print settings
The issue does not occur
Case of configuring printer settings via [Print] on Word：The issue may occur
- Select [Print] on Word
- Select [Printer Properties]
- Open Printing Preferences window

OS and version generating the issue
Windows 11 version 22H2 and later
FUJIFILM confirmed the issue had not occurred on Windows 11 21H2 or below, and Windows 10.
Affected models and drivers
For Affected models and drivers and their current status, please refer to “Troubleshooting” section in the bottom of this page.
Workarounds
To avoid the issue, prevent opening Printing Preferences from the drivers’ window when you try to print jobs via applications.
We would like the customers to confirm the below steps and change the configuration of our drivers via [Preferences...] and [Printing Defaults...]. Once the configuration change is done, it is not needed to repeat it every time you try to perform printing as long as you don’t need to change the print configuration. However, you need to change it every time if it is needed.
- Go to [Start]-[Bluetooth & devices]-[Printers & scanners], select a printer and then select Printer properties before you open the Printing Preferences window via applications
- Select [Preferences...] in [General] tab, change the configuration shown in the window and then select [OK]
- Select [Printing Defaults...] in [Advanced] tab, perform the same configuration change with step 2 and then select [OK]
Please select the printer for which you configure the settings from the above step 1 to 3 when you try to print jobs and then perform printing.

Affected models and drivers, and their current status are listed in the following table. For “preparing” models, we are preparing the fixed drivers. We will update the status separately.
