Request for Firmware Update to Maintain Service Compatibility of Microsoft's Universal Print

Dear Customers,
Thank you very much for your continued use of our products.
We would like to request our customers who use Universal Print, a Microsoft print service for our products, to upgrade the firmware of our products to maintain compatibility.
If this upgrade is not performed, the Universal Print function of our products will be unavailable from the end of June 2025.
This issue occurs only for customers who are using the Universal Print function. Therefore, customers who do not use this function do not need to take any action.
This issue does not affect printing using the Universal Print Connector (software for using the Universal Print function on printers that do not support the Universal Print function).
The following is an explanation of this matter.
When This Event Will Occur
After June 30, 2025
Occurrence
- Printing using the Universal Print function will be disabled.
- 018-599 (IPP Proxy and other errors) is recorded in the error history.
Affected Models and firmware for Countermeasures
The products affected by this issue, and the firmware versions or planned firmware versions to be provided, and system versions are as follows. Products not listed here are not affected by this notice.

For some models for which we provide downloads from our web page, some download files are provided by system version instead of firmware version. In such cases, please check the system version column in the table.
Response to this matter
First, please refer to the "Applicable Models and Countermeasure Firmware" table above to check if the model you are using is subject to this notice. Models with product names in this list are subject to this notice.
If you are using one of the models listed in the table of applicable models, please check if you are using the Universal Print function according to "How to Check if You Are Using Universal Print" below. If so, please update the firmware to the countermeasure version. If the "Firmware Version or Scheduled Version" column in the "Models and Firmware" table shows a version number (three numbers separated by a decimal point), the firmware is already available for that model. Models with a date indicated in the column indicate when the firmware version will be available for that model.
For the latter, we will update the status on this page as needed. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask that you please check back again when it is time to post the information.
Customers who have set automatic update of firmware in their EP-BB maintenance contract will be updated automatically by the EP-BB function after the countermeasure version firmware is provided. For other customers, please visit FUJIFILM Business Innovation support website listed at the end of this page.
How to Check if You Are Using Universal Print
Please follow the steps below.
- Log in to the device as a user with machine administrator (KO) privileges.
- In Internet Services, go to "Network" > "Mobile Print Settings" > "Universal Print" and check the contents displayed in the "Register Printer" column. and confirm the information displayed in the printer registration status column.
If you are "Registered", you are using Universal Print. If not, you are not using Universal Print.
