TÜV Rheinland is a trusted international third-party inspection body, and the Green Product Mark is a sustainability mark used in various regions and countries, especially in Europe. FUJIFILM Business Innovation received the mark for the Apeos C3067 and Apeos C3061 series*2, A3 digital color multifunction printers, which were launched*3 in September 2024. Green Product Mark

TÜV Rheinland evaluates product quality, safety, and environmental impact reduction, and provides various certifications. The company ranks second in the world in the issuance of "Safety CB Reports*4," which are used for obtaining various national certifications, including the CE mark*5 (FY2023 results). The certification system for the Green Product Mark began in Europe in 2012. This mark is only granted to products that have passed environmental performance inspections based on strict t criteria. These criteria are based on 11 points, including energy efficiency, recycled material content of products, safety, hazardous substance management, environmental management systems, and CSR perspectives such as social compliance. Acquiring the Green Product Mark demonstrates FUJIFILM Business Innovation's commitment to environmental measures such as addressing climate change and promoting resource circulation to customers as the company expands their business globally.

The Green Product Mark covers the company's A3 digital multifunction printers, specifically the Apeos C3067 and Apeos C3061 series. FUJIFILM Business Innovation have been working to reduce the company’s environmental impact through its products, for example, by reducing CO2 emissions in response to climate change through the introduction of smart power saving, a power control function that allows functional modules such as operation panels and output devices to be turned on and off independently, and by producing remanufactured machines that use up to 84%*6 (by weight) of reused parts to promote resource circulation.

As well as these efforts, the development of a new toner and fusing unit in the Apeos C3067 and Apeos C3061 series has realized a 15 degree Celsius reduction in fusing temperature compared to the conventional models*7, which helps to reduce power consumption during fusing. In addition, in order to limit the input amount of natural resources, FUJIFILM Business Innovation have made these products more lightweight by reducing the amount of materials used, such as downsizing the products, reducing the thickness of the frame and exterior plastic materials while maintaining their durability, reducing the number of parts, and redesigning the parts are shaped, thereby reducing CO2 emissions by 18~24.5%*8 over the product lifecycle. In anticipation of future reuse and recycling and to increase the possibility of parts reuse, the company has also incorporated product designs that contribute to easier and improved disassembly, reuse, and recycling, by reviewing the shape and configuration of individual parts and by devising a surface design for the exterior covers that makes scratches less noticeable.

Under the FUJIFILM Group's CSR plan, Sustainable Value Plan 2030, which sets fiscal 2030 as the goal, FUJIFILM Business Innovation aims to further contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through manufacturing and the provision of products and services that address social issues such as climate change countermeasures and promotion of resource circulation.
