At FUJIFILM Business Innovation, we have developed production and correction technologies that employ a light source consisting of small light-emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged in large numbers as a print head that writes images on photoreceptors to concentrate light uniformly.
While overcoming the unevenness of light intensity that is a drawback compared to traditional laser raster output scanners (ROS), it achieves high image quality at 2,400 dpi × 2,400 dpi*1, 57%*2 lower power consumption and a reduction to about one-twelve*3 the size of conventional light sources in terms of component volume. In addition the lack of motor noises helps provide a quiet environment.
