At FUJIFILM Business Innovation, we are working to develop technologies that reduce the power consumption of multifunction devices and printers to achieve lower environmental impact.
The smart power saving technology optimizes power usage when waking from sleep mode to improve efficiency through the internal power saving of multifunction devices and to increase silence by controlling unnecessary startup noises.
A multifunction device is composed of four functional modules: a controller, an operation panel, a document scanning unit and an output unit. We have introduced a power control function that paves the way for separately powering these individual functional modules on and off. The controller supports detailed electrification control that solely powers on the required parts according to the functions being used by customers. This smart power saving technology helps reduce the power consumption of printing, scanning, FAX transmission and reception and other services.
