Our Story
Our journey began in 1966, when Rank Xerox first arrived in Malaysia, a modest beginning driven by a bold vision. The prestigious inauguration of our office by Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, set the tone for a partnership dedicated to supporting and empowering Malaysian businesses for decades.
As Malaysia blossomed, so did our presence. From Penang to Kuching, Melaka to Ipoh, and then to the vibrant city of Kota Kinabalu in the early 70s, our footprint expanded alongside the nation's progress. We didn't just sell machines; we brought experiences directly to customers’ doorsteps through pioneering roadshows, taking copiers floor-by-floor into office towers and offering free trials so customers could experience our quality and convenience firsthand.
Our early products such as the RX914 copier, RX813, and Standard Xerox 1385 were tailored to meet diverse Malaysian needs. The revolutionary "Don't Buy-Rent" concept gained strong traction with government agencies and leading companies like Tenaga Nasional Berhad, signalling the start of a new era in document management.
Embracing the Digital Dawn
The 1980s marked a major leap as we introduced innovative technologies that transformed offices. Features such as duplex copying, fixed platen devices, plan printers, and digital printing systems opened up new possibilities for businesses. In 1985, the launch of leasing services broadened access to advanced Xerox technologies, making premium solutions more affordable.
Our pioneering spirit culminated in the introduction of Malaysia's first laser printer — the Xerox 4045 — redefining speed and print quality in the market.
Fuji Xerox Malaysia is Born
On October 1, 1992, Fuji Xerox Malaysia was officially established, marking an exciting new chapter. Throughout the decade, branches were opened in Johor Bahru, Melaka, and Kuching, bringing us closer to our customers with localized support and solutions.
From Copiers to Complete Document Solutions
As the world embraced digital transformation, so did we. The new millennium saw us evolve from an office equipment provider into a comprehensive Document Solutions Provider. With advanced colour and digital products such as the Document Centre 186/156 and DocuColour 2060, we enabled businesses not only print documents but also to manage workflows and information more efficiently.
In 2005, the ApeosPort series was launched, a game-changer that introduced multifunction devices, combining printing, scanning, copying, and faxing in sleek, user-friendly designs.
Driving Enterprise Productivity & Innovation
During this decade we expanded our impact with the launch of Enterprise Print Services, a comprehensive managed print solution that optimizes printing environments across entire organizations, boosting efficiency and reducing costs. We also introduced advancements in production printing, including gold and silver toners for the Colour 1000i Press, enabling premium, high-impact print quality.
To support small and medium-sized businesses, we rolled out a series of solutions powered by DocuWorks, enhancing workflows through smarter, faster digital document management.
