FUJIFILM Business Innovation Asia Pacific Announces Winners of the Innovation Print Awards 2023

41 winners from the Asia Pacific region recognized for their innovation and creativity

SINGAPORE, 1 November 2023 – FUJIFILM Business Innovation Asia Pacific announced today the winners of the Innovation Print Awards (IPA) 2023. Heartfelt congratulations to 41 winners from 11 countries across the Asia Pacific region for their brilliant works.

The Innovation Print Award (IPA) received an astounding total of 275 entries, which is almost a 50 percent increase in entries as compared 193 entries received last year. The increase in submission established IPA’s value and recognition in the hearts of design and print professionals in the graphic communications industry.

And for the first time in 16 years, there are two winners for the “Best Innovation” Award – Inkjet Technology and Toner Technology respectively, out of the 39 winners in 22 categories recognised for their creativity and print quality.

“Digital Packaging” continues to lead as the most competitive category for IPA and has reinforced the needs of brands in enhancing consumer experiences through personalised design and packaging and highlighted the trends for on-demand print with high quality printouts as well as the demand for short-run in packaging.

“The entries received this year have gone up to another level, especially on the design and creativity that has been executed across all categories. It shows how the industry has embraced the emerging digital technologies to meet their customers’ expectations and demands,” said Scott Mackie, General Manager, Graphic Communication Marketing, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. “Each entry is cleverly executed using either digital technology, or a hybrid of technologies and has surpassed the usual production standards. This has clearly demonstrated the increasing demands across commercial print, labels and packaging and has positioned the industry for further growth.”

“One outstanding trend this year was the pervasive adoption of digital print production. It has become commonplace to encounter Gold, Silver, and special colours in the submissions, demonstrating the industry's rapid embrace of digital printing technology,” said Paul Callaghan*1, Head Judge for IPA 2023. “What truly impressed us was how these special colours were utilised creatively, making many entries truly stand out. This indicates that designers and agencies have also mastered the art of incorporating special colours to enhance the overall impact of their work.”
