Jakarta, August 23, 2021 – FUJIFILM Corporation announced the appointment of Masato Yamamoto as President Director of PT FUJIFILM Indonesia (FUJIFILM Indonesia), effective 1 July 2021. Taking over the baton from Noriyuki Kawakubo, Yamamoto will be spearheading Fujifilm’s business strategy and operation in Indonesia.
Yamamoto has pursued a career in the Fujifilm Group for nearly 20 years with a major role and contribution in international market development of the imaging business including instax, Fujifilm's instant camera brand, from the headquarter in Japan and in several subsidiaries such as FUJIFILM France and FUJIFILM Asia Pacific.
In his appointment as President Director, Yamamoto said, “I am very happy to be a part of FUJIFILM Indonesia, and to lead an organization with a team of highly skilled professionals. We live in a rapidly changing world, but I am confident that together we will make the company reach newer heights and milestones, also contribute to solving social issues in Indonesia, with our diverse array of business and “NEVER STOP” innovation.”
In addition to the photographic business including digital camera, FUJIFILM Indonesia is committed to never stop innovating to answer challenges and needs of the Indonesian people by developing eight (8) business lines ranging from digital and offset printing machines; data storage; ASTALIFT skin and beauty care; to various healthcare products such as ultrasound, radiography and medical IT. FUJIFILM Indonesia, is a wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation in Japan, and will be celebrating 10 years anniversary this September.
