FUJIFILM Europe GmbH (President, Toshi Iida) has today announced that it will move its European Headquarters to a new office location in the Düsseldorf area, continuing its history of more than half a century in the North-Rhine Westphalia region. After the innovation and technology company will have moved in winter 2021, there will be space and infrastructure for approximately 400 employees in addition to a new Open Innovation Hub, designed to inspire and encourage collaboration.
Located in Düsseldorf since 1966, and based in Heesenstraße, Heerdt from 1983, the new Fujifilm Europe office location at the Schwarzbach Quartier in the area of Ratingen-Ost is less than 20 km from Fujifilm’s current premises and less than 10 km from Düsseldorf International Airport. Rented for an initial period of ten years, the new 10,000m² Fujifilm office site will spread over three floors of the building called “The Square”, with the whole Schwarzbach Quartier campus holding space for 82,000m² of offices and a hotel.
The new Fujifilm office will combine the best use of space, infrastructure and technology, and an emphasis on energy-efficiency and sustainability, aiming to provide a modern and engaging experience for the workforce and visitors alike. The space will also present a range of showrooms and demonstration facilities, as well as presenting Fujifilm’s Open Innovation Hub concept.
This new Open Innovation Hub will build upon existing Hubs in Tokyo, Silicon Valley and the Netherlands, and will be a facility that allows business partners to have first-hand experience of fundamental and core technologies that underlie excellent materials and products developed by the Fujifilm Group, as well as fresh technologies, materials and products currently under development, so as to offer new business solutions. Fujifilm Europe will use this facility to link existing and future business partners' challenges, ideas and potential needs with its proprietary technologies to create innovative products, technologies and services, seeking to initiate a tide of innovation.

As a location to strategically orchestrate our European-wide business, I can think of nowhere better.
Fujifilm’s new office is part of the Schwarzbach Quartier. The campus is an activity by InfraRed Capital Partners, an international investment manager for real estate and infrastructure projects, that has entrusted Cube Real Estate, as project developer. During negotiations, InfraRed has been advised by BCLP and Fujiflm by Anteon and Hogan Lovells.
