The Jet Press 540W digital web advantage

With conventional web offset presses, printing sizes are limited by the size of the plate cylinder. The Jet Press 540W uses direct data printing so there is much more flexibility in the cut-off size of the paper. It can accommodate a wider variety of jobs, while remaining highly efficient for standard jobs that utilize the same paper size.

New business opportunities

The Jet Press 540W enables you to combine short-run and variable data capabilities, opening up new opportunities for a growing number of applications. It is ideal for the production of leaflets, magazines, educational textbooks, manuals and newspapers.

Fits into your production environment

The Jet Press 540W is unique amongst digital web presses in that it enables duplex printing within a single tower design, resulting in an extremely compact footprint of 6.6m × 2.8m.

High quality printing on inkjet and non-coated papers

Supporting both inkjet and non-coated papers of between 64-157gsm, with a maximum printable width of 540mm, the press offers a top printing speed of 127m/min at 600 × 480dpi.

Fujifilm screening technology for high quality images

The Jet Press 540W uses Fujifilm's own FM-based screening technology which enables smooth color tones and sharp text as well as eliminating moire and rosette patterns.

High-performance water-based inkjet ink

Fujifilm has used its experience and knowledge to develop both pigment and dye-based inks for use with this press which, when combined with the ultra-compact footprint, maximize the application flexibility and versatility of the machine. The VIVIDIA WP-S pigment ink features a wider color gamut, suffers from less 'see through' on the page and can be used in nearly all graphic applications. The VIVIDIA WD-S dye ink also has a wide color gamut, but provides better water resistance when used with inkjet papers.

Post-press options

The press is available as a standalone system, or as a complete solution with the integration of Fujifilm's own post press equipment (consisting of a sheet cutter and sheet cut + roll). It can also integrate with post press equipment from Hunkeler - predominantly for newspaper use - and Muller Martini equipment for commercial print.

Driven by XMF workflow

Fujifilm's XMF Workflow system is used to drive the front end of Jet Press 540W. Already popular amongst commercial printers for its speed and flexibility in handling work across digital and offset print processes, XMF is continuously evolving, and today boasts an improved user interface increasing automation, efficiency and ultimately profitability. It represents one of the most comprehensive and advanced production management systems on the market, addressing many of the issues faced by today's print service providers.
