Fujifilm to increase prices for color print (positive) films for motion picture

April 1, 2011

FUJIFILM Corporation will implement a worldwide price increase for its color print (positive) stocks for motion picture, effective from shipments on April 21, 2011.

The products and the price increase rate are followings:

Percent Change
ETERNA-CP Type 3512 +16%
ETERNA-CP Type 3514DI and 3614DI +16%
ETERNA-CP Type 3523XD +16%

To sustain its photo imaging business, Fujifilm has been undertaking intensive structural reforms to reduce to fixed costs and improve productivity, and has been absorbing the increasing costs of raw materials for motion picture films over the few years. However, due to the recent soaring costs of raw materials, especially silver, Fujifilm is no longer able to absorb these costs during its production process.
