Fujifilm’s designers worked on the development from concept creation to architectural and spatial design of the FUJIFILM Creative Village. Both “CLAY” and “ITs" have an exterior characterized by wide, open windows and sharp and solid concrete construction. In addition, facilities and unique features have been introduced to allow designers and IT engineers express their creativity in a spacious, pillar-less space. “CLAY” features a video studio and a prototype production room equipped with 3D printers and coating booths, while “ITs" has a workspace layout that can be used in different ways depending on the development phase, including a desk layout for small groups of IT engineers to discuss and create concept, and individual booths for programming and other tasks that require concentration.
The FUJIFILM Creative Village will employ a variety of energy-saving technologies. The buildings’ thermal insulation performance will be improved by installing heat-insulating materials inside the building frame, and adopts a “double-skin façade”, double structure with glass covering the exterior walls of the building, on the south and east sides, where sunlight penetrates into the building, to reduce the load on air conditioning and lighting. In addition, all electricity used in the building will be derived from renewable energy sources to achieve a carbon-neutral building.

Based on the belief that a close partnership between the design and IT teams is essential in creating new value that contributes to solving social issues, Fujifilm works to develop innovative products and services by combining the power of both to generate innovation. Through this FUJIFILM Creative Village, Fujifilm will maximize the creativity and productivity of both design and IT divisions, and accelerate the development value-creating products and services by strengthening partnership between these divisions, thereby contributing to solving social issues.
