Bangkok, 10 June 2025 — FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd. reinforced its leadership as a One-Stop, Total Healthcare Solution provider by continuously developing advanced medical diagnostic innovations that are highly effective while meeting real-world healthcare needs through user-friendly design. The company recently participated in the AACRT 2025 (The 25th Asia-Australasia Conference of Radiological Technologists), held under the theme "Innovations in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy: Bridging Technology and Patient Care." This international event brought together leading professionals in the radiology field from Thailand and around the world to exchange best practices and receive updates on the latest trends that will help improve patient diagnosis and enhance the efficiency and analytical capabilities of frontline medical personnel.
At the conference, Fujifilm showcased its latest medical diagnostic imaging innovations, including the FDR Xair portable X-ray unit, which stands out with its lightweight design of just 3.5 kilograms. This X-ray unit can be deployed anywhere to provide medical services to the public, particularly for mobile medical units in remote areas, helping reduce healthcare disparities and improve access to disease screening. The system features AI-powered tuberculosis and lung lesion screening capabilities for accurate detection. Another key solution featured was the ARIETTA 750 DeepInsight ultrasound system, which delivers advanced image quality through Fujifilm's proprietary DeepInsight technology. This AI-powered technology enhances image clarity, scanning efficiency, and reproducibility, enabling clear visualization of detailed and complex tissue structures with more natural tissue representation, even in patients with high body mass index (BMI) where scans can be compromised by signal interference or inconsistent focusing. Visitors experienced live demonstrations of both flagship solutions, witnessing their user-friendly features and intelligent processing capabilities. Both systems enhance diagnostic accuracy and enable early detection of abnormalities for timely patient treatment.
Building on Fujifilm's commitment to diagnostic innovations that elevate healthcare and expand screening access, the company launched two cutting-edge solutions for the first time in Thailand. These AI-powered systems set new standards for accurate, systematic diagnosis benefiting both patients and medical personnel:
Amulet Sophinity — A new digital mammography system featuring AI-assisted patient positioning, representing a significant innovation that will help elevate Thai society. According to data from the National Cancer Institute, breast cancer is the most common cancer among Thai women, accounting for 34.2% of all cancer patients. Fujifilm recognizes the importance of screening, as early detection significantly increases the chances of complete recovery. AMULET Sophinity is designed to enhance breast diagnosis with AI technology for positioning through Positioning MAP, which helps radiological technologists position patients efficiently, along with Positioning Analysis that analyzes positioning to improve and develop targeted skills for future operations. The system also features Dual Angle Tomosynthesis technology and Detector Technology with pixel sizes as small as 50 microns, delivering sharp images for accurate radiological diagnosis.
FDR Visionary Suite — A high-end digital radiography system that provides clear images even with low radiation exposure, utilizing proprietary Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS) technology and advanced image processing systems. This full-function digital radiography system enhances technologist efficiency with diverse features such as motion detection alerts, camera-assisted positioning through Live View technology, automated positioning systems that reduce retake rates, and support for specialized examinations from Long View imaging and Dual Energy Subtraction to Tomosynthesis. The system also supports AI functionality for chest imaging directly on the machine, making diverse diagnostic approaches convenient and accurate.
Mr. So Maruo, Managing Director, FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd., stated, "All these innovations reflect Fujifilm's commitment to bringing advanced medical technology to elevate society for better health outcomes for all Thais, aligning with the main theme of AACRT 2025. Beyond product exhibitions, Fujifilm aims to offer integrated solutions covering X-ray systems, ultrasound, mammography, PACS medical imaging management systems, and AI tools that enhance diagnostic efficiency and improve patient health outcomes. Our product lineup that addresses real-world applications, benefiting both medical personnel and patients, aligns with our purpose of 'Giving our world more smiles.' Fujifilm continues to advance technology that enables early disease detection and expands access to quality screening tools through collaboration with government agencies, public health organizations, and leading partners. We also accelerate awareness of the importance of screening for ‘silent health threats’ in Thai society, including breast cancer, lung cancer, tuberculosis, and many other challenging diseases, to create a sustainable future in caring for all groups in society."
Fujifilm remains committed to creating medical innovations that advance healthcare in Thailand, enabling more people to access disease screening even in remote areas, and improving access to timely treatment. The company's goal is to create a society where lives are not lost due to late disease detection.
