Bangkok, 17 July 2025 — FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd. continues to advance healthcare diagnostics and patient treatment with comprehensive health innovations, unveiling the ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopy System and the 800 Series ELUXEO® Endoscopes for the first time in Thailand. The launch took place at the 50th Annual Scientific Congress of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand (RCST 2025) from July 10-12, 2025, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and the National Health Security Office under the theme "RCST Half Century: The Changing Landscape of Surgery." The conference aimed to showcase innovations and significant changes in surgical medicine, reflecting developments in technology, treatment approaches, and the surgical profession while celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand.
Both Fujifilm innovations are designed to enhance the capabilities of surgeons and gastroenterologists across the country in both diagnostic and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy applications. The ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopy System elevates gastrointestinal and liver endoscopy precision beyond previous standards, expanding Therapeutic Endoscopy capabilities with the new ACI (Amber-Red Color Imaging) mode that significantly improves procedural safety.
The ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopy System delivers Fujifilm's finest image quality by integrating technology from X-ray and ultrasound divisions with Triple Noise Reduction (3NR) technology from imaging technology groups, combined with Extended Dynamic Range. This produces sharp images with balanced brightness in both near and far fields. The new system upgrades image quality from FHD to 4K Ultra HD, providing dramatically enhanced clarity that enables physicians to diagnose lesions and abnormalities with unprecedented precision. This is particularly crucial for patients with gastrointestinal conditions requiring detailed examination of internal mucosa, such as patients with polyps, precancerous lesions, or early-stage cancers of the esophagus, stomach, colon, and rectum. The system also features the new ACI (Amber-Red Color Imaging) mode, which provides significantly clearer visualization of blood flow, enhancing accuracy in hemostasis, especially for Third-Space Endoscopy treatments such as ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection), which represents a critical approach for treating early-stage cancers without requiring open abdominal surgery. The ACI mode emphasizes deeper information. It is developed with the intention of improving the visualization of slight difference in blood color (e.g., localization of bleeding source) — a factor of paramount importance for both clinical outcomes and patient safety.
Beyond delivering superior imaging, the ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopy System is designed to reduce physician workload and enhance efficiency through user-friendly workflow management tools that easily connect with various systems. Features include automatic detection of the use of CO2 insufflator use and deactivation of the air insufflation to help prevent over insufflation and single-button water irrigation control during procedures. This advancement is significant for endoscopists, enabling more accurate, safer, and faster procedures suitable for physicians at all levels while reducing the learning curve for new practitioners and increasing confidence in complex procedures such as tissue resection and advanced therapeutic endoscopy including ESD, supporting expanded implementation in hospitals requiring advanced yet user-friendly technology. The new system enhances operational efficiency with an optional 15-inch touch screen tablet featuring an intuitive interface that can record DICOM-standard images and videos for immediate documentation, reducing steps and improving medical team efficiency.

Fujifilm has complemented this comprehensive solution with the launch of the 800 Series ELUXEO® Endoscopes, featuring innovations that address challenging procedural demands. Equipped with the latest CMOS sensors that enhance resolution and reduce noise interference, these endoscopes deliver superior image quality. The 800 series increases distal end angulation capability from 90 degrees to 160 degrees downward, significantly improving visualization access to difficult-to-reach positions such as the duodenum and stomach-cardia. Additionally, the 9.8mm diameter distal end features an enlarged working channel from 2.8mm to 3.2mm, better accommodating therapeutic devices for enhanced treatment procedures. When the ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopy System operates in conjunction with the 800 Series ELUXEO® Endoscopes, it delivers the sharpest and brightest images Fujifilm has ever produced. Importantly, this reduces the need to change endoscopes between diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as the new technology enables both diagnosis and treatment with the same endoscope.

Mr. So Maruo, Managing Director, FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd., stated, “The launch of ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopy System and the 800 Series ELUXEO® Endoscopes at RCST 2025 represents a significant milestone reflecting Fujifilm's commitment to supporting Thai surgeons in accessing world-class endoscopic technology while enhancing hospital capabilities for accurate and safe gastrointestinal disease diagnosis and treatment.
