Songkhla, Thailand, 16 January 2026 — FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd. and FUJIFILM Business Innovation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. have extended help to communities affected by severe flooding across Southern Thailand through the donation of financial assistance and medical equipment.
FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd. donated an FDR Xair portable digital X-ray system, complete with an FDR D-EVO detector, worth THB 2 million, to Hatyai Hospital to support the hospital's recovery from flood damage to its facilities and medical equipment. The donation reflects Fujifilm’s deep concern for residents affected by severe flooding in the South, particularly healthcare institutions that communities depend on for quality care.
In addition, FUJIFILM Business Innovation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., through its foundation, donated THB 500,000 to the Mirror Foundation to provide relief supplies and aid community recovery efforts. These donations align with Fujifilm’s mission to improve quality of life through healthcare innovations and its group purpose of "Giving our world more smiles."
Mr. So Maruo, Managing Director of FUJIFILM (Thailand) Ltd., presented the equipment to Dr. Wiroj Yommuang, Director of Hatyai Hospital. The donated FDR Xair is a portable X-ray system weighing just 3.5 kilograms, complete with FDR D-EVO, a lightweight glass-free digital radiography detector. The portable X-ray system allows medical staff to conduct X-ray examinations at patients' bedsides and across different treatment areas and helps the hospital restore essential screening services for the community during its recovery period.
Hatyai Hospital serves as a central medical hub for local community hospitals across the South. The hospital sustained significant damage during the flood and is currently in recovery to restore its full operational capacity.
Fujifilm extends its heartfelt wishes for the swift recovery and restoration of all those affected by the disaster. The company remains committed to supporting Thai society during times of crisis, working to ensure communities have access to essential healthcare services when they need them most.
