Fujifilm Unveils "X half" Compact Digital Camera  with Film-Style Features

Bangkok, May 22, 2025 — FUJIFILM (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has introduced the FUJIFILM X half, the latest compact digital camera in the X Series that perfectly blends the classic beauty of half-frame film cameras with modern digital technology. Weighing just 240 grams, this compact camera delivers a Point & Shoot experience that allows users to capture beautiful shots anywhere, anytime. The X half makes photography fun and accessible, catering to the lifestyle of a new generation seeking an easy-to-use camera that produces distinctive photos and videos.

The X half enhances photography experiences through X filter effects, including the latest filters: "Light Leak," "Halation," and "Expired Film," which bring the essence of film cameras to digital photography. Users can enjoy the "2-in-1" function that allows them to combine two still images or videos using the frame advance lever. Further adjustments can be made through the "X half" application to change dividing line colors, adjust image sizes, and swap left and right images.

For film camera enthusiasts, the X half offers a Film Camera Mode that fully simulates the film photography process. Users can select the number of shots before shooting and use the frame advance lever to unlock the shutter for each shot without reviewing images until all shots are taken. They can then "develop" their film digitally through the X half application, easily sharing or storing images in Contact Sheet format. The camera comes equipped with 13 Film Simulations, allowing photographers to customize the mood and tone of their images, including "REALA ACE," renowned for its faithful color reproduction with dynamic tonal expression.

The X half boasts a premium, classic design in the tradition of the X Series, featuring an aperture ring, frame advance lever, and controls that give photographers the authentic feel of using an analog camera. The Grain Effect feature naturally adds film-like grain to images, while the Date Stamp function imprints dates in the corner of photos, adding a film-era touch to photography.

Meeting the needs of the digital age, the X half features a touch screen LCD monitor designed for vertical shooting in a 3:4 aspect ratio, similar to smartphones, with an intuitive interface controlled by simple swipes or taps. The upgraded optical viewfinder allows for up to 880 shots on a single charge. With its 1-inch back-illuminated sensor and 32mm F2.8 (35mm equivalent) prime lens, the camera delivers a familiar feel similar to the popular QuickSnap camera. Users can connect to the "X half" application via Bluetooth on smartphones to easily view, edit, share to social media, and print through instax Link printers.
