FUJIFILM ADVANCES HYBRID PHOTO TECHNOLOGY WITH THE RELEASE OF INSTAX MINI LIPLAY™
June 11, 2019
Valhalla, N.Y. – FUJIFILM North America Corporation announces the upcoming release of its new INSTAX MINI LIPLAY hybrid camera, which incorporates both instant print and digital technologies. Offering a host of never-before-seen features designed to take instant photography to the next level, the LiPlay features a rear LCD screen along with sound recording capability, integrated filters and frames, smartphone printing, remote shooting capabilities, and more.
Small form, large function
The INSTAX MINI LIPLAY is the smallest, most lightweight instant camera in the history of the INSTAX series, yet is packed with more features than any INSTAX model preceding it. Its compact form factor is complemented by a rear 2.7-inch color LCD screen where users can view and select their favorite images before printing, as well as personalize their settings via the easy-to-use menus. Users can also select between six fun filters and up to 30 frame options, giving images the perfect custom look.
Let’s hear it!
The LiPlay’s revolutionary sound recording capability allows the capture of up to 10 seconds of audio to accompany any selected image. When selected, the sound data is converted to a QR code and printed directly onto the corner of the image. Simply scan the QR code with a smartphone and hear the recording – an ingenious way to enhance printed memories and tell the whole story of what makes the image special.
Printing memories made easy
In addition to printing images taken with the camera, LiPlay’s “Direct Print” function converts the camera into a smartphone printer. Simply connect it via Bluetooth to a smartphone via the INSTAX MINI LIPLAY app and print any image saved in a smartphone with ease.
Remote shooting lets everyone get in the shot
Using the INSTAX MINI LIPLAY app, users can release LiPlay’s shutter remotely through their smartphone, allowing perfectly timed images that can be printed on the spot.
Eye-catching design in three unique colors and finishes
LiPlay’s streamlined design is complemented with a different surface finish for each of the color variations. The Stone White version has a rough, speckled surface achieved through a special spray coating. Elegant Black features an eye-catching embossed finish, and Blush Gold’s lustrous, smooth, yet durable finish shines.
Using standard INSTAX Mini instant print film, the camera features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and can print approximately 100 prints on a full charge.
Originally introduced in 1998, the INSTAX line of instant cameras enjoyed “instant” popularity, with the total number of units sold since its initial launch topping 40,000,000 globally.
