FUJIFILM North America Corporation today announced the launch of its new docuseries titled, Beyond the Lens, featuring two photographers who entrust their printing needs to Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper. Spanning eight episodes, with four episodes following each photographer’s story, Beyond the Lens portrays the importance of not only printing, but selecting the appropriate substrate for each unique image to ensure that photographs get the finish that they deserve. The docuseries explores the art of printed photography from the point of view of Maryland-based photographer, David Hobby and fine art landscape photographer, Jeff Mitchum. Both professionals are passionate advocates of photo printing with Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper. “The prints are hard to describe,” said David Hobby. “They are beautiful and painterly; somehow muted and saturated at the same time.”

Jeff Mitchum, owner of three fine art galleries, notes that Fujifilm’s versatile line of silver halide photographic papers bring the captured image file to life with the papers’ unprecedented performance.

“These prints are widely accepted throughout the fine art world and acknowledged by master printers across the globe,” said Mitchum. In the docuseries, Mitchum discusses printing for galleries, choosing the right Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper substrate, and he even shares a sneak peak of a new photo debut.
