From September 2021 to February 2022, a novel immersive digital art exhibition called "Van Gogh Alive" is being held at the Dewey Center in Beijing, China. Forty FUJIFILM FP-Z8000 projectors have been adopted for this art exhibition, which is becoming a world-class art and culture event. The vivid visual expression of the projectors makes you feel as if the paintings and stories made the world of the former impressionist masters 'Alive' (reproduced) in the present day.
A New Visual Experience with the FUJIFILM FP-Z8000 Projector
"Van Gogh Alive" is one of the world's largest immersive digital art exhibitions, boasting 8 million visitors in over 75 cities worldwide.
Through a unique system that combines dynamic images and cinema-quality sound, the exhibition provides visitors with a one-of-a-kind multi-screen viewing environment.
In "Van Gogh Alive", visitors can experience Van Gogh's life with cinema-quality visuals and audio.

Upon entering the exhibition hall, visitors will find more than 30 FUJIFILM FP-Z8000 projectors installed suspended from the ceiling in the exhibition area on the first floor.
Looking around the entire exhibition area, the FP-Z8000 projectors installed on the ceiling take full advantage of their ultra-short throw lens with a projection ratio of TR0.34, ensuring that viewers' shadows do not interfere with the appreciation of the works.
While projecting a large screen of over 100 inches from a short distance, the projector successfully reproduces the delicate details of each of the artworks.

When expressing the beauty of Van Gogh's works, a brightness of 8000 lumens of the FUJIFILM projectors serves as the basis for realizing a rich range of colors, and at the same time, the excellent color space, hue, and contrast of FP-Z8000 play a role in faithfully reproducing Van Gogh's masterpieces.

In the exhibition area on the first floor, three spaces are provided for projection onto the floor in addition to projection onto the walls.
According to the designer of the venue, the exhibition hall has height restrictions, and conventional projectors could not project ideally, so they had given up projecting onto the floor.
On the other hand, the FUJIFILM projectors can not only take advantage of their ultra-short throw and superior focus adjustment features, but can also freely rotate the lens, making it possible to achieve floor projection like this.
From an installation perspective, the FUJIFILM FP-Z8000 projector is "small and light". This is highly convenient for the design side and increases design options.
A compact size of 460 mm (W) x 510 mm (L) x 162.5 mm (H), a light weight of approximately 18.4 kg, and a freely rotating lens eliminate all obstacles in any installation site.
While the FUJIFILM FP-Z8000 projector is powerful in expressing delicate details of exhibited paintings, it also achieves excellent results in presenting the entire painting.
This painting was composed by blending the projections from two FP-Z8000 projectors, but the colors are natural and no trace of blending can be observed.
Furthermore, the lens shift range of FP-Z8000 is as wide as 70% vertically and 35% horizontally, making it easier to adjust for calibration errors.

The Van Gogh Art Corner consists of five FP-Z8000 projectors projecting onto the walls in four directions above the heads of visitors.
This creates a new type of art space where visitors can enjoy the overhead art while also experiencing an open atmosphere because of the ingenious way in which the outside scenery can be seen below the art.
After viewing the Van Gogh exhibition, the visitors will be captivated by the wonderful artistic content and immersive experience.
The numerous projectors that make this possible do not interfere with the visitors' appreciation at all.

FUJIFILM's FP-Z8000, which made this digital art possible, contributed to providing a comfortable artistic space for the audience with its excellent image quality and blending.
