In Healthcare, we are working to meet unmet medical needs and expand access to medical care, helping to create a healthier society through prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. We are expanding our lineup of products and services for medical systems that leverage our strengths in IT and AI technologies, working to create new value and address challenges in the healthcare field. In 2021, we established NURA, a health screening center in India that offers high-quality, modern medical checkups, supported by our medical devices and AI technologies that assist physicians in diagnosis. Since then, we have continued to expand the reach of NURA into other markets. In the field of Life Sciences, including contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) of biopharmaceuticals and drug discovery support (CRO), we provide end-to-end solutions that support every stage of pharmaceutical development from the early stages of R&D through to commercial production, under the tagline “Partners for Life.” Working closely with pharmaceutical companies and patients around the world, we are helping to deliver cutting edge pharmaceuticals to more people, more quickly.
In Electronics, we are broadly expanding our offerings to meet emerging needs driven by the advancement of 5G/6G communications, the growth of autonomous driving, and the widespread adoption of AI and virtual/augmented reality. Our portfolio includes semiconductor materials that support both everyday life and industry, as well as cutting-edge functional materials. To meet the growing global demand for semiconductor materials, we are strengthening our global supply system by expanding production capacity both in Japan and overseas. By providing one-stop solutions that address diverse needs, we aim to become the most trusted partner in the global semiconductor industry.
In Imaging, we offer a range of photography products and services, from high-end mirrorless digital cameras to printing services and instant photo systems that allow users to print photos on the spot. We also provide products and services utilizing our videography technology and expertise, such as broadcast and cinema lenses, long-range multipurpose cameras, and projectors. The instax™ camera has become popular in over 100 countries and regions around the world, with cumulative sales exceeding 100 million units. Through the authentic power of photography and video for communication, we provide valuable products and services that contribute to a more prosperous and connected society.
