Fujifilm in Germany has joined Handelsblatt’s campaign “Vaccination! Now!” (Original German: “Impfen! Jetzt!”) to advocate the value of vaccination against COVID-19. Together with more than 100 (status: 08.12.2021) companies and organisations, from global companies to smaller start-ups, the campaign runs throughout Germany during December and into the New Year.
Handelsblatt started the campaign in early December 2021 to visualise the positive effect of vaccinations in Germany by making visible how often unvaccinated people need to be hospitalised after a COVID-19 infection compared to the smaller range of vaccinated people requiring hospitalisation.
Since the year 2000, Fujifilm has transformed into a multi-technology company with a diversified business portfolio. Today, a big focus lies in healthcare and biopharmaceuticals, with products, services and know-how to create value from innovation for society. Furthermore, the company provides a range of solutions to help fight against COVID-19 from diagnosis to prevention, including rapid antigen test kits, endoscopy, X-Ray, artificial intelligence and CT systems, and biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing services for several COVID-19 vaccines and therapies.
Part of the income made by the campaign will be donated to a cause fighting against COVID-19. The precise decision will be made and communicated in the near future by Handelsblatt.
