Fujifilm's aim is to reduce its environmental impacts and contribute to the resolution of environmental issues. In Germany, we are making a positive environmental contribution by working together with the German organization PLANT-MY-TREE®
Our partnership started in 2022, when we donated and planted 1,000 trees in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, one tree for each employee, creating a mixed lush forest which is the habitat for many native animal and plant species and thus an important prerequisite for native biodiversity. Trees not only bind carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, but also make an essential contribution to improving soil conditions and protecting against erosion. In 2023 we continued our collaboration with PLANT-MY-TREE® by donating another 1,000 trees and planting them in Ratingen, where we operate our European headquarters.
The Fujifilm and PLANT-MY-TREE® mixed forests are regularly monitored to ensure that the trees are allowed to grow and thrive, cannot be used for industrial recycling, and protect the area from unwelcome visitors.
