A copying machine you casually use on a routine basis. Are you familiar with its mechanism?

Three Processes of Color Copying

A multifunction device completes color copying through three processes of "scanning," "image conversion" and "printing" after placing an original document and pressing the start button.

Process 1 Scanning
Scanner Unit

The scanner unit scans the image of the original document by converting it into digital data.

Process 2 Image Conversion
Image Processing Unit

To perform full color printing with four color toners (yellow, magenta, cyan, black), the image of the scanned document is subjected to color separation to the four colors by the image processing unit.

Process 3 Printing
Image Processing Unit

Color copying is completed by superimposing the image of the original document which has been subjected to color separation into four colors (yellow, magenta, cyan and black) on one piece of paper.
