Striving to realize net-zero emissions for ourselves and future generations, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong has become a Science-aligned Signatory of Business Environment Council’s Net-Zero Carbon Charter. We actively promote Reforestation initiative with PrintReleaf to our customers and additionally purchase no-less-than 60 kg of carbon offsets for each survey response received, in order to create a sustainable environment hand-in-hand with our customers.
Since 2004, we have introduced an end-of-life resource recovery program by collecting end-of-life Multi-functional Printers (MFPs), along with spare parts and consumables, to Fujifilm Group’s overseas remanufacturing factory. In 2018, while the HKSAR Government implemented the Producer Responsibility Scheme on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), we initiated a partnership with a local recycler to recycle unregulated used MFPs and consumables (including waste toner cartridges and spare parts) other than sending regulated used printers, monitors, and scanners to the Environmental Protection Department’s appointed recycler.
