FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong remains committed to providing world-class sustainability features at every step of the value chain. Our commitment stretches all the way from initial parts procurement and manufacturing, right through to customer usage and products’ eventual disposal.

FUJIFILM Business Innovation has a zero landfill* commitment and is a pioneer of sustainability. FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong has established an over 50,000 sq. ft. Recycling Center in Tsuen Wan since 2004. We deployed various initiatives to collect an recycle used equipment, spare parts and consumables from our customers. Around 1,000 tonnes e-waste in average is collected for recycling each year.

* FUJIFILM Business Innovation defines “zero landfill” as simple incineration and simple landfill that is 0.5%or less of the total weight of the waste produced.

Research and Development

Innovation keeps us at the forefront of our industry. We invested around JPY 51.2 billion in R&D in Fiscal Year 2018.

Research conducted in two R&D centers maintain a human-centric approach as we believe that people should not have to modify how they think or behave to be compatible with various information devices. Based on such philosophy, FUJIFILM Business Innovation research focuses on creating new values with multimedia technology and information-related technology, utilizing AI, IoT, image, text/data analytics, and business process modelling.
