Notice of Rectification Work on Certain Fuji Xerox Multifunction Devices

 

Fuji Xerox informs customers that isolated incidences of fire have occurred overseas on the ApeosPort-V/DocuCentre-V digital multifunction device series designed for use at rated voltage 220-240V. Detailed investigations conducted by our team in Japan, have determined that these isolated overseas incidents were caused when extreme voltage was supplied to the device. We have determined that the same models (ApeosPort-V/DocuCentre-V Series) at rated voltage 100V-115V are not at risk due to the use of different components.

 

The isolated incidents have not occurred in the Hong Kong and Macau market.

 

Fuji Xerox takes the incidents very seriously and to minimize any re-occurrence of the incident, however remote, we shall provide safety measures to the affected models* identified below. This rectification work shall be provided free of charge.

 

If you are using any of the affected models* listed below, and if you have an existing maintenance contract for the device concerned with Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong), one of our representatives will be in contact with you. However, if you do not have an existing maintenance contract in effect, please contact Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) at the contact number listed below. Additional details on the period and duration are stated below.

         The following models in the ApeosPort-V/DocuCentre-V Series (designed for use at 220-240V)

C5575/C5576/C6675/C6676/C7775/C7776

 

2.      Period for the work

         Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) will begin providing the rectification from August 1, 2017. Our representatives will follow-up with you about the timing.

 

3.      Required time

         Work to implement safety rectification on the model should take approximately 30 minutes.
