CLIENT
Founded in 1996, Winson Enterprise (H.K.) Limited has been perpetuating the belief in quality and innovation. From garment tag printing to large-scale printing like financial annual reports and product packaging, and today’s digital printing, they have been providing a wide range of solutions and services to meet ever-changing market needs.
CHALLENGE
The market demands towards print products has changed rapidly in recent years. “Price and usefulness are important, but younger generations value more on brand effect and overall design,” said Michael Kwong, Business Development and Marketing Executive of Winson Enterprise. “Traditional printing companies need to spend more time on design innovation to meet customer demands,”
In addition to the rapid development of eCommerce, consumers are seeking highly transparent and convenient printing choices. “Personalized products are what consumers want. We see that this capability will bring us new opportunities,” added Michael.
SOLUTION
Supported by FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong’s industry-first 6-color print engine Revoria PressTM PC1120, Winson Enterprise can meet their clients’ high demands for color gamut and imaging quality. On top of traditional CMYK colors, Revoria PressTM PC1120 can load up to two specialty toners ranging from Gold, Silver, Clear, White, and Neon Pink. The printer can also handle mixed printing substrates with different weights and sizes, expanding the boundaries of creativity.
Digital printing is also a more sustainable option. It not only reduces lead time but also material waste. “Traditional offset printing requires zinc printing plates while digital printing supports checking on a monitor display. So once the digital file is approved, it can be sent directly to the printer for production,” said Tony Kwong, Director of Winson Enterprise.
Winson Enterprise’s operations are also enhanced by the reliable and flexible support provided by FUJIFILM BI HK’s ServicePRO, which plays a pivotal role in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
“The ServicePRO team understands our unique business requirements and expectations to deliver solutions,” said Tony. “The team’s extensive industry experience has also enabled us to benefit from valuable knowledge sharing. This trusting collaboration has empowered us to expand our business and explore exciting new opportunities.”
RESULT
Winson Enterprise created its first in-house promotional publication featuring artwork by Hong Kong designer Danny Wo. “We hope to show our capabilities and technologies to customers and the market,” said Tony.
This publication won for Winson Enterprise multiple awards including the “Best Innovation Award” and “Winner (Company Self Promotion)” at the Innovation Print Awards (IPA) 2022, outperforming nearly 200 submissions across the Asia Pacific region.
Entitled “The Voyage of Life”, this publication was inspired by a series of four paintings created by an American artist called Thomas Cole, representing an allegory of the four stages of human life. “To represent the changes in life and channel a multitude of feelings to the readers, we tactically selected papers with different patterns and applied printing effects to each page, with the availability of specialty colors,” Tony said with a satisfied grin.
“The awards prove that Hong Kong's innovation and printing technology stand out in Asia Pacific,” said Tony. “We look forward to working with industry peers to continue innovating and achieving new heights.”
