Amid escalating cyberthreats, cybersecurity budget allocation is pivotal for business resilience. While the 10% IT budget rule is a standard, the adequacy varies based on risks.
One prevalent cyberattack method is phishing. In 2023, nearly half of all cybersecurity incidents in Hong Kong were classified as phishing attacks*. A single error could result in substantial financial losses, potentially surpassing the entire cybersecurity budget for the year.
Managed firewalls and UTM services are crucial for mitigating these risks, while investing in robust endpoint protection solutions with AI-driven EDR is also vital.
